Bridgeport Art Center wedding | Chicago | Brad & Christina

I recently traveled to Chicago to work alongside Travis at Brad and Christina’s Bridgeport Art Center wedding. Christina got ready at the Westin Chicago River Walk so Brad and myself waited outside for her to arrive for their first look. It was great to see them both so excited and emotional when they saw each other for the first time. The notoriously chilly Chicago weather didn’t stop us from making some portraits along the river walk. Despite the overcast light being really flat, we managed to find some color to… Read More »

Lynn Britt Cabin wedding | Allison & Walker

Allison and Walker’s Lynn Britt Cabin wedding in Snowmass Village was a blast to shoot. Walker works for Microsoft and Allison is working on a PhD in Seattle so it was a destination wedding for everyone involved. Walker has been to Aspen a ton to ski and convinced Allison that it would make the perfect fall wedding location. I started with the ladies and my good friend Dustin held down the fort with the guys. It was important for Allison to incorporate some of her heritage and family traditions in… Read More »

Willow Ridge Manor wedding | Gina & Blake

Blake and Gina are announced to their guests as husband and wife at Willow Ridge Manor during their wedding reception

Gina and Blake’s Willow Ridge Manor wedding was the perfect low key affair and I’m glad that Travis and myself were able to be apart of it. You don’t need to do much when you get married in Morrison at the edge of the foothills. The scenery is amazing in that part of town so it’s easy to see why they chose to get married at Willow Ridge Manor. Blake and Gina arrived nearly ready to go and only needed a few quick adjustments before saying I do. Despite it… Read More »

Breckenridge Boreas Pass wedding | Heidi & Frank

Frank and Heidi live in Minnesota’s Twin Cities and wanted a change of scenery for their special day and decided to have a Breckenridge Boreas Pass wedding with all their family and friends. Can you blame them? As a Colorado native I’m completely aware of how beautiful the state is but I hadn’t experienced the top of Boreas Pass until I Trent asked me to help document their wedding day. After the ceremony downtown we ventured up the dirt road on Boreas Pass despite the cold, windy conditions in search… Read More »

Trappers Turn Golf Course wedding | Nicole and Elliott

Nicole and Elliot’s Trappers Turn Golf Course wedding featured one of the best fireworks shows that I’ve ever seen. They clearly do it big in Wisconsin Dells and considering that Nicole is from the Dells it makes total sense that she married a man from Texas because as Elliott will tell you, everything is bigger in Texas. The fireworks show was definitely the highlight of the day and was a huge treat for all the guests because they had no idea what was going to happen when the MC asked… Read More »

City Flats Hotel wedding | Ali & Hutton

Ali and Hutton’s City Flats Hotel wedding in Grand Rapids was a great big party as evidence from my favorite photo above. The City Flats Hotel was a blast to photograph because the ballroom had a balcony and vivid lighting that made everything pop. Their guests knew how to have a good time and danced the night away so we were able to create some great images that they will love for generations. Grand Rapids is home to Founders Brewing Co., so I was looking forward to the trip to… Read More »

Allerton Park Wedding | Megan & Manfred

Earlier this year I traveled to Champaign, Illinois for Megan and Manfred’s Allerton Park wedding alongside Travis. We joked that weddings have taken us on the BIG 10 school tour because we have seen Northwestern, Illinois, Wisconsin and Michigan State over the course of the season. I hadn’t been to Champaign before so I was excited to photograph a completely different city and venue. Allerton Park is affiliated of the University of Illinois and considered one of the seven wonders of Illinois. It features a grand mansion on the property… Read More »

Della Terra Wedding | Jen & Lee

Saturday morning I traveled up to gorgeous Estes Park to document Jen and Lee’s Della Terra wedding. Thankfully the weather held up and despite being a little chilly it all worked out, especially considering the city received thirteen inches of snow earlier in the week. I had a great time bantering back and forth with Jen for most of the day and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Josh came along to help make some great images and spent time with the guys. Jen literally laughed and smiled her… Read More »
