LoDo Denver Engagement Photos | Danielle & Jordan

Danielle and Jordan share a laugh while posing for their LoDo Denver engagement photos in August

Danielle and Jordan are two incredible human beings and extremely busy people so I was glad that we were able to schedule their LoDo Denver engagement photos during the 24-hours that Jordan was in town to help Danielle move. Danielle is finishing her PsyD and Jordan is a medical resident in Chicago so they spend most of their time helping others. I spent a little extra time with them hitting some of their favorite locations downtown on Thursday evening. I’ve shot downtown Denver engagement photos before so I have a good sense of… Read More »

Georgetown and Loveland Pass Engagement Photos | Mallory and Daniel

Daniel kisses Mallory as the two embrace on top of Loveland pass as the sun sets near Keystone Colorado

Colorado is known for breathtaking views in the Rocky Mountains and the scenery didn’t disappoint for Mallory and Daniel’s Georgetown and Loveland Pass Engagement Photos earlier this week. Daniel actually proposed to Mallory after one of her piano concerts near the Georgetown Loop Railroad so I was excited to photograph them in a location that meant a lot to both of them. I truly believe that the more meaningful the location for an engagement session, the better the images can be. I typically start things off at a bar so everyone can… Read More »

Royal Oak Engagement Photos | Erica & Cody

Cody embraces Erica during their colorful summertime Michigan engagement session in downtown Royal Oak

Last week I was in Michigan to photograph a wedding in the Detroit area with Travis and while I was there we met up with his brother Cody and future sister-in-law Erica for their Royal Oak engagement photos. Next spring Travis will be part of their big day, but on the opposite side of the camera as the best man. I on the other hand will be photographing the wedding. I always encourage couples to shoot engagement photos with me so that they can become comfortable in front of the… Read More »

Downtown Denver engagement | Devan & Joshua

I met up with Devan and Joshua at Avanti to start their downtown Denver engagement session but before we did anything we had a drink because, why not? The view is obviously amazing but there is a great vibe going on and food is mouth watering. At Devan’s suggestion we had an arepa from Quiero Arepas that potentially changed my life. Trust me, go and get one at your earliest convenience. With (mostly) clear eyes and a full stomach we were ready to take the party on the road. Devan… Read More »

Lookout Mountain engagement photos | Melanie and Nick

I was excited when Melanie and Nick asked me to shoot their Lookout Mountain engagement photos near Golden, Colorado. Usually when I’m on top of Lookout Mountain my heart rate is north of 160bpm because I’m riding my bike with friends to Buffalo Bill’s grave at the top. It’s a popular route and training ride for hundreds of road cyclists every single day. We started in Golden along the river before heading up the mountain. The road offers some great views of downtown Golden and even Denver along the way… Read More »

Downtown Denver engagement | Amanda & Cuyler

When I met up with Amanda and Cuyler at Union Station for their downtown Denver engagement session we had such an amazing time, we spent almost two hours at Terminal Bar drinking. Time flies by when there are thirty amazing Colorado craft beers on tap, outstanding atmosphere and three funny people trying to one up each other. Amanda is a nurse and Cuyler works for the Copper Mountain Fire Department so they do a lot for other people and rightfully so I wanted them to have a great time and… Read More »

Artistic Engagement photos in Denver | Amy & Neil

When asked, I describe my style to be heavily influenced by color and strong, geometric lines. More than any other engagement session of the past, this was a prime example of how I see and I really loved how Amy and Neil’s Artistic engagement photos in Denver turned out. Other engagement locations that I love are LoDo, Riverfront Park and Union Station. Neil is a musician and Amy teaches writing so as fellow creatives, they were able to appreciate some of the cool locations that we stumbled upon and didn’t freak… Read More »

Riverfront Park engagement | Carlyle & Michael

It’s not often that I get to photograph my friends so when the opportunity presents itself it’s always something that I look forward to. Michael has been a good friend since we lived next door to each other in the dorms our freshman year of undergrad and we later roomed together during a semester abroad in Rome. Carlyle and I are both marketing geeks so it’s been fun to talk shop while we’ve been able to get to know each other the past eight months or so. Along with a… Read More »
